Apple announces a new update for its iMessage Business Chat

On Thursday, June 27th, Shopify officially announced that it will be its existing Shopify Ping customer communication app for Apple’s iMessage-based Business Chat, thus providing the latter with a major expansion.

According to sources close to the matter, this new iMessage update will provide customers with another secure way to get support from brands or receive answers regarding products which they want to purchase. Additionally, if a customer wished to purchase products directly from the chat they can do so by using Apple Pay.

In a statement, Shopify further revealed that almost all of its 800,000- plus stores all across the globe will be able to use Apple Business Chat, it also added that there are a few stores that are already using it, for instance, State Bicycle and Hodinkee.
